Learn how to make money with Share-a-Sale through two-tier links, product reviews, banners, and more. Learn how you can start making $2000-$3000 a month just from affiliate marketing, and some bloggers who do it.
**This post contains affiliate links, meaning if you click through the links to make a purchase or sign up, I am compensated at no additional cost to you. I sincerely appreciate the continued support.
So you have applied for Share-a-Sale and been accepted. You are ready to start adding banners and links into you blog posts so you can start generating the big bucks like the pro bloggers, right? Well don’t go throwing random banners and links up all willy-nilly just yet. You don’t want your readers to think of your blog as a billboard for random products they don’t want. The ultimate goal with affiliate partnerships is to make money recommending products you use and love. Talking about a product should come naturally.
If this seems out of the question, keep reading. I have some tips and pointers to get you started making money with share-a-sale. Let’s start with the basics…

APPLYING FOR PARTNERSHIPS ON SHARE-A-SALE

When you first log in to your share-a-sale dashboard, you may be a little overwhelmed with all the info. Ignore it all for now. You are going to go find your first brand to work with.
First, go to the top banner and hover over merchants. A drop down will appear; click ‘Search for Merchants’ (there is an icon of binoculars below it).

Once the Search page has opened you will see a number of search options to choose from. In the upper lefthand corner you can choose programs that offer pay-per-sale, pay-per-lead, and pay-per-click. In the middle of the screen you will see a traditional search box with a few added options.
I recommend starting with the Top 100 Power Rank (highlighted in pink below) as they are the most popular and have trustworthy programs and payouts. If you are looking for something specific, try adding a product to the search bar. For example, you could search tea, and you will generate a list of merchants who offer tea products.

Depending on your niche, you will be looking for a number of different merchants or products. You might start with some broad keywords like fashion, food, web hosting, etc. You may also try and search for brands you use and love. I was rather impressed how many of my everyday brands and websites were a part of Share-a-Sale.
For quick reference, a few of my favorite brands on Share-a-Sale are:
Now, choose one that fits your blog. Check the stats to make sure everything works for you. You will want to look at the commission structure, which tells you how much you will earn per sale or per lead. You may also want to look at the average sale and average commission under the stats tab to give you a better idea of what you could earn. Once you are satisfied, go ahead and click Join Program.

A popup will appear with a medium sized text box. You are not required to fill it out, but if you feel inclined, share how you plan to promote the brand on your website, along with any other stats or helpful information you want to share. Most of the time, you don’t have to put anything in the box, and you will still be approved.
Next, be sure to read Terms of Agreement. Often times different companies have different rules about posting links. Some allow direct links to their site from social media, while others forbid it. Read through the agreement and click the box next to the text: I have read and agree to the Program Agreement for Affiliates. Now click Join this Program.
For most brands, you will have to wait for approval. Once you are approved, you will receive an email from the brand letting you know. Then you can log in on Share-a-Saleand start adding links and banners.

BRANDS THAT OFFER FREEBIES

Once you have received confirmation of your acceptance into a program, you can contact them by email to ask if they offer samples. The whole purpose of this is to review products on your website, youtube channel, etc. People trust reviews from bloggers they follow and are much more likely to purchase a product after you have reviewed it for them. As I mentioned previously, no one likes to be lied to or sold to just for the sake of a dime. Gain the trust of your readers. Be real and transparent with them, and the dollars will flow in accordingly.
Don’t be too wordy with your email to the brand. Be short, sweet, and to the point.
A great sample email might look like this:
Dear Nicole, (look for the name on the confirmation email)
I am writing to thank you for accepting me into your affiliate program. In order to best promote your product, I would like to do a review on my website, and wanted to check with you to see if you offer samples to your affiliates. Thank you for your time. Have a lovely day!
There are a lot of companies that offer freebies. Lucky for you (and me), I found a very dedicated blogger who has a list of 62 Companies that Offer Freebies on Share-a-Sale. Feel free to check out her post and score some major wins with these companies.

USING TWO-TIER LINKS TO MAKE MONEY WITH SHARE-A-SALE

A two-tier affiliate link allows you to be compensated when others sign up to become affiliates through your links. It’s kinda genius! So, if you have blogging friends, send them to your Share-a-Sale link to become an affiliate.
You can check to see which brands offer two-tier links by clicking on the Details tab and then looking for a little black and gray box that reminds me of Tetris. In case you don’t see the same thing as me, I have included a screenshot with the icon highlighted in pink below.
I have composed the following list of companies that offer two-tier links. Check the details as some offer a two-tier commission, while other’s offer a per-lead commission. Either way, it’s good to know that you can promote a product or company, and if someone else does the same through your link, you will be rewarded.
